SAW THIS ON A TV SHOPPING CHANNEL AND DECIDED TO TAKE A CHANCE. TURNED OUT TO BE THE MOST ABSOLUTE EASIEST TO USE, VERY VERY COMPACT, JUST THE RIGHT CAPACITY OF 6 CUPS, ONLY ONE DISC WHICH DOES BOTH THE CHOPPING AND SLICING, EASY TO TURN OVER FOR DESIRED CUT, AND A BONUS OF TOP QUALITY PLASTIC BOWLS THAT FITS IN THE MASTER BOWL WITH LIDS for them. AM SO VERY EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THIS FOR MY SALADS, TRIED TO BUY A SECOND ONE AS A BACK UP, BUT FOUND NO ONE HAS ANY in stock ANYWHERE NATIONALLY AND PRODUCT UNAVAILABLE. We use this nearly every day. It is easy to clean, store, use, and reuse. We love it. It really does make slicing and shredding veggies easier!
Hamilton Beach Shredder (2009-04-14)
I needed a shredder for shredding cheddar cheese when I make macaroni and cheese. I had an old Hamilton Beach food processor that finally broke. I was not sure that this shredder would be a good replacement but I was pleasantly surprised. It shredded the cheese with no problem and it is so easy to clean. The best thing is that it comes with extra bowls with covers, so you can shred or slice food and then save it in the storage bowls. I am very happy with this product. By the way...if you add a can of tomato soup for part of the milk in macaroni and cheese......it is really good!
